## At a glance

- Deliberate cannon shots pierce a formation. Reserve the heavy bombs for an ace. In this notebook its specialty is heavy strike. All twelve aircraft are available from the hangar; the selection is a playful comparison of handling, not a reconstruction of historical opposing forces.

- Real aircraft design · fictional arcade handling and matchups.

## Dated changes

- 2026-10-30: Added from the named source to the Field Guide.

## Open questions

- Why did the surrounding air situation matter to a dive bomber? Dive-control equipment did not protect the Ju 87 from fighters. Its losses during the Battle of Britain show the limits of a specialized aircraft without a favorable air situation.
