## At a glance

- Crosswind Notes fills the same stretch of paper with intersecting routes. The Crosswind Scribe keeps changing the place where those routes meet. Its theme is a safe way home, paired with a real evacuation rather than a claim to recreate it.

- Real campaign context · fictional sortie and illustrative map, not a geographic reconstruction.

## Open questions

- Why is an evacuation different from a battlefield victory? Dunkirk saved troops from a defeated campaign. Ships, rearguards and time made escape possible; survival did not mean the Allied armies had won the battle for France.
