Bug in the scene

Rainy generated city street at night with glowing signage, dark buildings, and a small cursor-like artifact near the curb

Bug in the scene

Why this note matters

The image is almost all mood: wet pavement, signage blooming into the haze, lit apartment windows, a corner sign, and the soft chaos of a city after dark. Then the little cursor-shaped mark near the curb breaks the spell.

That kind of artifact is useful because it is not a grand failure. The scene holds together well enough that the bug becomes visible as a bug. It points at the seam between generated world and tool interface, between cinematic output and the hidden machinery that produced it.

  • Atmosphere can be convincing while state is still fragile. The rain, lighting, and urban density work; the tiny misplaced mark is what punctures the illusion.
  • Small artifacts make good regression tests. Cursor ghosts, UI remnants, and impossible marks are easy to overlook but valuable to track across image-generation runs.
  • The bug is part of the receipt. A perfect crop would lose the lesson. Keeping the defect visible preserves what made the note worth saving.
