The Apostate Engine series is an exploration of engine concepts that are situated on the heretical fringe. Perhaps these engines could exist, perhaps they power tomorrow’s vehicles that represent today’s science fiction. Or perhaps they’re just tinkertoy lab experiments dropped by a punk elf in a mohawk. This machine is weird and intentionally so.

The engine contains a collector mechanism that positions a plasma chamber that controls a portable sun.

Words fail to capture how fluid the animation exchanges are for animating the sun capture. It feels like science-fiction made real.

The parallax event is the most fascinating. This is when the engine begets a simulation of itself to generate power.

The entire scene is a fantastic wonder.
