The gist of PowerPillGo! is fusing Dr. Mario with TeenTitansGo! into, well, whatever this is. It’s a match four game. However, it’s a match four game where you’re a crime fighter cleaning up the streets the only way you know how. One power pill at a time. I should work Pac-Man into this, that I think about it.

There’s really not much to say about the core game loop. It’s a match four game.

Some powerups and effects could be interesting to mix into this. As would Pac-Man making an appearance. What’s really amazing to me is that this whole game came together in less a day. We seem to be on the precipice of a world where you can mix any two concepts into any game and it just somehow works. Depending on where you stand, this is either amazing or terrifying and you know what? I totally get both perspectives.

My favorite part of this project is certainly the main menu that’s shaping up. It’s very dynamic and captures the comic-like energy of the project. What’s unique about this menu is the video playback. This will be the first of these projects where I’ve mixed video directly into the app, and I’m surprised at how well that works.
