The thirteen colony lanterns
One lantern hides in each of the thirteen story stages, one for each of the thirteen colonies. Some float low in a lane and you just ride through them. Others hang high, and you need a ramp or a good hop to reach them. Collect all thirteen to open Rainbow Road.
Show where every lantern is
| # | Colony | Stage | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Massachusetts | Old North Church | middle lane, low, after the second pair of houses. |
| 2 | Rhode Island | Charlestown Neck | far lane, high. Take the earth ramp before it. |
| 3 | Connecticut | Menotomy Road | near lane, low, after the checkpoint. |
| 4 | New York | Lexington Belfry | far lane, high, just past the bell. |
| 5 | New Jersey | Road to Concord | middle lane, high, after the second earth ramp. |
| 6 | Pennsylvania | Lexington Green at Dawn | near lane, low, just before the powder keg. |
| 7 | Delaware | Concord North Bridge | far lane, high, before the ford. |
| 8 | Maryland | Breed's Hill | middle lane, high, after the cannon. |
| 9 | Virginia | Delaware Crossing | near lane, low, between the two runs of floes. |

| 11 | South Carolina | Saratoga | middle lane, high, before the ditch. |

| 13 | New Hampshire | Independence Hall | far lane, high, after the wagon ramp. |
Golden horseshoes
The five Fever Dream stages each hide a golden horseshoe instead of a lantern. Find all five and the saddler gives you the Golden saddle for free.
Where are they?
- Main Street Parade: middle lane, high.
- Iron Horse Express: far lane, high.
- Moon Map: near lane, high.
- The Sun: middle lane, high.
- Dinosaur Dash: far lane, high.
Rainbow Road
The last road is not on the map until you have all thirteen lanterns. Then a new pin appears at the top of the map, above the clouds.
What happens there?
Your horse grows a horn. The road is every color, the sky is violet, and the ramps throw you into the clouds. There are no soldiers, no walls and no heat limit worth worrying about. Collect 50 stars for the third star.
Hidden riders
- William Dawes: Finish Lexington Belfry.
- Samuel Prescott: Finish Road to Concord.
- Sybil Ludington: Rouse 40 houses in total.
- Israel Bissell: Finish every stage of Act II.
- Jack Jouett: Win 10 gold medals.
Small things worth finding
- The Eagle Bonus. Chain enough perfect landings and tricks without a stumble, and a flight of eagles crosses the sky beside you.
- Bells. Ringing a belfry wakes every house on that stretch of road at once, which is the fastest way to a big crew.
- Crates and hay. Smash them for coins. In Valley Forge every crate is food for a hut.
- Takedowns. Pass a dragoon on turbo, or with a Lantern Burst, to knock him out of the saddle. Your crew can do it too if he drifts into their lane.
- The 8-bit stable. Played RevereBike in this browser? Your old coins and horse experience carry over once.
